We like to summarize our skills assessment into four main categories: Learning, Selling, Analyzing, and Building.

• Learning includes rapid skill acquisition, speed reading, detailed note taking, deliberate practice, and memorization skills. This is, by far, the most important skill to have in your toolbox.

• Selling encompasses communication skills such as persuasion, networking, writing, and marketing.

• Analyzing involves being able to search, interpret, and summarize information to draw conclusions about reality.

• Building comprises product development (engineering and design), operations (organization and project planning), and systems development skills.

• If you are truly talented and valuable, it can be whatever you want it to be.

• The beauty about working at Lucrum is that we have a structured, but flexible environment. We prioritize career acceleration that matches your real-time skillset and work performance.

• For example, we don’t have traditional timelines or career structures for our investment staff (From Analyst to Associate to Director/VP, etc.).

• We assess everyone on a case by case basis and then design a role and path that is optimal for the candidate to achieve their potential in learning and contribution to the firm.

• If you prove yourself to outperform in your role that you get bored of, we’ll create a new role that challenges and intellectually stimulates you.

• Be prepared to discuss your experiences in detail. All experiences in an academic, work, or volunteer environment are relevant for us.

• Hone in on your technicals. Even if you find yourself to lack in technicals for a role you want, tell us on your learning plan to prepare for your intended job and pitch us on why you’re qualified to succeed and follow through on that plan

• Don’t waste time preparing for “brain teaser” type questions. We find those as silly and useless in assessing candidates.

• Don’t stress about it. We’re not jerks and don’t intend on grilling you the whole process. We just want to get to know you and what you’re capable of.

• Feel free to stay in touch. Even if it’s clear that there’s no fit right now, we’re more than happy to help you on your journey. We strongly believe great relationships are the backbone of our reputation.
